Now that the inevitable post-Halloween blues have passed, it's time to look into what horror events might be fun for fighting off stress during Thanksgiving season. This list covers a selection of screenings, events, holiday markets, horror plays, and more happening over the next two weeks!

SANTA SANGRE - (Nov. 22nd & 23rd) New 4K restoration! Watching a Jodorowsky film at midnight in a large, beautiful venue is the unforgettable, bizarre cinematic experience you need. PARASITE - (through Nov. 28th) Director Bong Joon Ho (The Host, Memories of Murder, Snowpiercer) is a master at his craft and it's worth seeking out his entire body of work. THE LIGHTHOUSE - (through Nov. 28th) Director Robert Eggers (The Witch) returns with another period piece; a tense black and white film about two lighthouse keepers fighting for their sanity in the 1890s. Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Avenue, Chicago, IL 60613.

MONOS - (Nov. 29th-Dec. 5th) A group of rogue, heavily-armed teens living in a jungle proceed by their own rules, games, and social order (which flips into chaos when their hostage tries to escape). YOU WILL DIE Opening Art Reception - (Nov. 22nd - runs until 10:30pm) This exhibit explores art and design through extreme metal music by various artists! Paintings, illustrations, mixed media.
