Weekend Horror: The Massacre, Splatter Theater, Film Festivals, & More

Chicago horror fans, get ready for another huge weekend of horror. It's going to be that way for a while, of course! The Massacre 24-hr film festival returns Saturday, while Splatter Theater returns to the stage with buckets of blood in tow. Countess Dracula will also spray fans with blood, and, since it's raining, maybe bring a poncho no matter what... Artist Angel Onofre's whimsical dark art opening is coming up next week. The interactive horror prop exhibit (for Instagram-friendly horror pics) continues, more haunted houses opened their doors, and there are quite a few film festivals happening around town. So much more, but that's why there's a long list. Have a ghoulish and safe weekend!

“Don't walk to the theater–RUN!”

Editor's note: Currently dealing with medical issues that will hopefully be behind me by the time 2020 rolls around. These lists take quite a chunk of time to compose, so my posts may become less frequent until the holidays. Feel free to let me know if you have an event, genre screening, or spooky play that you'd like to make sure shows up in the list.
