The remainder of August is filled with quite a few dark entertainment options that are sure to be a good time. This includes 35mm screenings of Society (with director Brian Yuzna in person!), Robocop, Creepers, Dead Ringer, RHPS, and The Terminator, as well as a 16mm viewing of Arsenic and Old Lace. Try some wacky older flicks like The Giant Spider Invasion, Zardoz, and Manos: The Hands of Fate! There are a few neat flea markets filled with delightfully strange things to buy, and, of course, horror-themed stage productions!

It looks like it's been quite a while since the last horror events post, and my (hopefully) good excuse is an onslaught of medical issues that I hope will be behind me by the time 2020 rolls around. These lists take quite a chunk of time to compose. There is a possibility that September horror events may end up in one big post to cover most of the month. If so, I will be sure to update it when possible. Feel free to let me know if you have an event, genre screening, or spooky play that you'd like to make sure shows up in the list.
Have a great and spooky August!
Reminder! Tickets are still available for the live orchestral concert of Jordan Peele's GET OUT on September 21st with the Chicago Sinfonietta!
