Aeon Gallery & Art Collective present “Rapture,” a group art exhibition featuring dark artworks by multiple artists from around the world on Saturday, October 28th, 2017. The exhibit, curated by Zmiya Mochoruk and Cheryl Ryan, will have work by dark, contemporary, and fine artists of all types and levels of experience.
“Rapture” features a selection of works from around the world which showcase a dark artistic perspective into the exploration of the world of art as well as that of the artist. An exploration which through the creation and experience of art, will carry a person not only to another place, but to a new sphere of existence.
The exhibition opening and artists reception is open to the public this Saturday with a $5 admission fee. Costumes and Avant Garde attire are encouraged, but optional. Wine will be offered inside the lounge (must show valid ID to purchase). Ages 18+ only. Doors open at 8:00pm and close at 1:00am.
All artwork on display will be for sale unless marked otherwise. Cash and major credit cards accepted.
This new art collective is driven to provide a sanctuary for artists to be able to show their work and sell it without excessive fees. They had a successful art walk this past May. They've renovated an almost 7,000 sq. ft. space, which is now home to 8 private art studios, a 2,000 sq. ft. professional art gallery, a custom tattoo shop, and a lounge.
Aeon Gallery is an artist owned and operated gallery (10331 Main St., Richmond, IL 60071) located in the heart of historic Richmond, Illinois, around halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee.
The exhibition will run through Sunday, January 7th, 2018.
