Friday the 13th: Horror Genre Insanity this Weekend in Chicago!

Movies, movies, movies! The insanity is going full throttle in the city with screenings galore, haunts, a zombie prom, Splatter Theater, Halloween events, exhibits, parties, and more. Films are listed in no particular order. Have a nice weekend!

THE MASSACRE 24-hour Horror Movie Marathon - (Oct. 14th at noon to Oct. 15th at noon) The Massacre 2017 returns to the Patio Theater this Saturday in Chicago. This long-running horror movie marathon presented by Terror in the Aisles offers 24 solid hours of horror genre entertainment. Special guests this year are Felissa Rose (star of Sleepaway Camp) and John D. Hancock (director of Let's Scare Jessica to Death). CHICAGO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL - (Oct. 12th-26th) CIFF returns with more great films, including our favorite “After Dark” category. M.F.A. - (Oct. 13th-19th) Intense thriller following an art student who is brutally assaulted by a fellow classmate. After reaching out for help at her college, both faculty and students blow it off and blame the victim. She decides to go full vigilante all over campus, which results in a newfound creativity in her artwork and exposes the hypocrisy and injustices that often occur in regards to sexual assault on campus (and beyond).
