IN A MOMENT - (June 11th from 6pm-8pm) Feature film by local director Dustin Puehler of Ready Freddy Films. Synopsis: Matt Peterson looks for love with a mysterious partner on the internet while a gang of small town criminals travel through the countryside looking to make fast cash by means of home invasions. SUMMER SCARES HORROR FILM FEST - (June 10th from 5pm-2am) Terror in the Aisles presents another fun-filled summer scream fest at the Patio Theater with special guests Linnea Quigley, Mark Patton, and Ari Lehman. EDGAR WRIGHT MOVIE FEST - (June 9th-14th) While not technically labeled a festival, I consider it as such since a whopping FOUR films directed by Edgar Wright are screening at the Music Box Theatre and they're all fantastic. CHICAGO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL - (through Oct. 4th) On Wednesdays, arrive early for free screenings of independent, international, unrated films with the theme, “A Taste of Cinema,” revolving around food. Chicago Hauntings Bus Tours - One of the longest-running ghost tours in Chicago, each 2.5 hour tour is led by founder, paranormal investigator, and author Ursula Bielski and her partner, author David Cowan.
