Wednesday, October 29th, The DePaul Humanities Center presents a variety of horror exhibits that spotlight horror found in modern life surrounding race, gender, technology, and more. “Horror of the Humanities 2” is their second annual Halloween-themed event which aims to explore the connection between horror and humanity. The exhibits have been paired with a relevant movie screening and discussion to further focus on the subject at hand. Cult festival favorite Kill List will screen after the exhibit, followed by a talk with the director, Ben Wheatley.
Wheatley (Sightseers, A Field in England, ABCs of Death), recently directed two episodes on BBC's Doctor Who. Kill List was chosen for this event as being a fitting example of a modern study of the nature of evil, as well as being insightful and creepy.
