Sci-Fi Spectacular 24-Hour Fest with Frank Henenlotter [Videos]

The Sci-Fi Spectacular on March 9th at the Portage Theater is a huge annual movie festival that will be twenty-four hours this year for the first time, with appearances by director Frank Henenlotter and Jay Bonansinga of The Walking Dead book fame. Henenlotter, a cult favorite known for his body horror comedies, will be present for a Q&A after Brain Damage screens. (Frank will also be at the Portage Friday, March 8th, screening his Basket Case trilogy. Info HERE.) Jay Bonansinga is the co-author of The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor and Walking Dead: Road to Woodbury, and will be signing copies of his books. The guests will be available for free autographs and photos!

So get plenty clean (leave the body odor at the door), snack up, get some rest and then come play with a thousand other sci-fi/horror fans for 24 hours! March 9th from noon until noon, Portage Theater, 4050 N. Milwaukee Avenue. Doors open at 11am.

Instead of posting a movie list, I've set up a gallery so you can watch trailers for each film! Simply scroll to the bottom of this post and click through the gallery! In addition, there will be short films screened, plus even more short films that are part of the Roger Corman 1-Minute ’50s Trailer Competition!

For a full list of all the films, shorts and trailers screening at the Spectacular, visit the ticket page HERE. Tickets are $20 online and will be $25 at the door. Tickets are also available at PC Here, Laurie's Planet of Sound, Gaymart, Horrorbles, and Shake, Rattle & Read.

*The feature films in the galleries note starting times that are subject to change.
