Chicago Cinema Society Screens Festival Favorites and Rare 35mm Prints

The Chicago Cinema Society is very passionate about making sure both innovative and cult cinema appear on the big screen in the city of Chicago. The strong dedication coming from this company is as boldly apparent as a blood-stained print on a bathroom mirror. It's there, and it is meant for you to investigate it. Due to their rescuing, collecting and restoring both 35mm and 16mm film prints, it's pretty obvious these rare gems are in good hands.

Without a doubt, The Chicago Cinema Society (CCS) has screened some exceptionally rare movies that satisfy the most diehard fans of obscure horror, cult and vintage cinema. Even if some of the titles may only be attractive to a small niche of enthusiasts, the passion is what makes these screenings successful. These are unique theatrical opportunities that exemplify exactly why film aficionados live in places like the great, big city of Chicago. Previous screenings by CCS include: Hausu, Excision, Manborg, Beyond the Black Rainbow, and Xtro (which meant a trip to the other side of the world to search for the one remaining print!).

The full list of upcoming screenings is on the website's calendar through April!

Please wander through the video gallery below which showcases some amazing CCS upcoming screenings that may entice you wonderful fans of weird, creepy cinema!
