Northwestern lost again to Penn State on Thursday night, 66-52, at Welsh-Ryan Arena. It’s safe to say that right now the Nittany Lions own the Wildcats. Unfortunately, only Michael Thompson showed up for Northwestern. He scored 22 points on 9-16 shooting, but the rest of the team combined to score 30 and go 11-36 from... Read more »
It’s Senior Night at the Jones Convocation Center on the campus of Chicago State. The game is still in action, but the first half was so full of it that I created this gallery. The Cougars trailed 42-37 at the half. This after losing to ONU last season. Christian Wall led Chicago State with 12 points... Read more »
The Uni Watch blog has some great stuff in general, but they out did themselves with the “Family Portrait” paintings they uncovered of each conference in 1969. I’ve put the Big Ten one here in the post, but you should go check out all of them. Please remember, these were done in 1969, which is... Read more »
There’s not much you can say about a 98-55 victory. Northwestern came out focused and five players scored in double-figures, including Reggie Hearn with 10 points. Austin Nichols was the only player that got into the game and didn’t score. Also, Michael Thompson only played 18 minutes tonight, but you sure wouldn’t know it from... Read more »
I spent most of the first half of the DePaul and Seton Hall game shooting photos. This gallery is the result of it. At the end of the first half the Pirates led 32-31.
A full recap of the game is coming later, but here are some photos from Utah Valley’s 93-82 victory over Chicago State tonight at the Jacoby Dickens Center in Chicago, IL. With the victory the Wolverines are now 1-0 in the Great West Conference and the Cougars are 0-1.
Here’s a mega-photo-gallery of 15 photos from Northwestern’s 78-62 victory over American on Thursday at Welsh-Ryan Arena. I’ll have some more thoughts on the game tomorrow. Also, there will be live-blogs for both of Northwestern’s games at Madison Square Garden, so be sure to check those out.
Northwestern took care of business against Long Island on Monday night and came away with a 81-65 victory at Welsh-Ryan Arena. John Shurna was 10-11 from the field and scored a game-high 26 points. There will be a longer write up about the game tomorrow, but here are some photos from the action.
It was a different cast of characters for Loyola in its victory over SIU Edwardsville on Wednesday. The Ramblers were without Jordan Hicks, who is out for the season, and Walt Gibler, who is day-to-day, so 12 players got to play for Jim Whitesell’s squad in the 78-50 victory. The gallery is a compilation of... Read more »
Going to do something a little different tonight. You can get live-coverage of the game here on the blog with photos, commentary, statistics and insight. Please leave any questions in the comments. If this works out well I’ll try doing it again later in the season. Thanks! (Posts are in chronological order with the most... Read more »
