The third snowiest snow storm in the history of Chicago just blasted this city, but it doesn't mean that the college basketball games won't go on. Last night Illinois continued its sporadic ways with a blowout victory over Penn State in Champaign with a much less than full house. Tomorrow night DePaul will take on Notre Dame and both Loyola and UIC will be in action. The Ramblers and Flames made sure to get out early, so all those flight delays and road closures hopefully didn't affect them too much.
Games on Thursday even after the snow
It'll be interesting to see how all the players react to being cooped up in hotel rooms for an extended period of time. Even the Fighting Irish came to Chicago early in order to avoid having to travel today, so they've been spending time in the hotel instead of on campus.
Just for fun there's a photo-gallery of what it looked like today in Rogers Park before they cleared the roads off. There was a CTA bus literally wedged into the snow in the middle of the street. It managed to completely block traffic in both directions.
