Bears vs. Packers impacts college basketball schedule

The effects of the Bears vs. Packers playoff game are already being felt in the college basketball world. Northwestern's game against Wisconsin, see a trend there, was scheduled to start at 12 p.m. CT has been moved to 11:30 p.m. CT. That's because the NFC Championship Game, which just so happens to include teams from both of those markets, kicks off at 2:05 p.m. ET.

This is the second time that a Packers playoff game has caused a college basketball rescheduling for two teams from these markets. Last weekend's UIC vs. Green Bay Horizon League game was moved up in order to accommodate fans that wanted to watch the Packers vs. Falcons divisional round game.
While the tailgaters at Soldier Field certainly aren't coming up to Welsh-Ryan beforehand, hopefully fans will have time to get to the game and get back to watch the Bears. It should be an excellent basketball game.
