DePaul an underdog tonight

Mike Stovall dunks

The DePaul Blue Demons return to the role of the scrappy underdog tonight when they go to Indiana State to take on the Sycamores. The three locations that I use to check out probabilities before games all have Oliver Purnell's team on the wrong side of the projection.

Here they are:
  • Accuscore - Indiana State 69.2, DePaul 61.4 (74.7% chance of victory for ISU)
  • Ken Pomeroy - Indiana State 69, DePaul 65 (67% chance of victory for ISU)
  • USA Today's Danny Sheridan - Indiana State favored by 5
Indiana State and DePaul are nearly identical statistically in most of these ratings services. The difference in the margin of victory comes from the fact that the Blue Demons are playing on the road. It's a good chance for Brandon Young and company to show what they can do away from Allstate Arena.
Indiana State is 3-5. They were blown out by Wyoming in their last game, 81-51. They've only played one home game, a 58-54 victory over Buffalo.
Let's see if the Blue Demons can take advantage of being the scrappy underdogs once again.
