Let the games begin!

College basketball season doesn't officially kick off until Monday when the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic begins, which includes Illinois. UIC plays the first game for any of the city teams on Wednesday at Pittsburgh. But that doesn't mean there aren't games to analyze.

As you saw from the DePaul exhibition, these things can mean something, especially with all the new coaches in town. Thus I'll be watching tonight when the Flames play UIS on the Horizon League Network. This is the link.
There will be a full analysis of how Howard Moore's team is developing after the game. Of course it doesn't stop there. It's going to be a busy long weekend. And then the games start up in earnest next Friday, November 12. The schedule is after the jump.

John's Coverage Schedule -- Exhibition Weekend:

Wed, November 3 - UIC vs. UIC (viewing on Horizon League Network)
Thurs, November 4 - Northwestern vs. Robert Morris
Sat, November 6 - Loyola vs. Robert Morris
Sun, November 7 - DePaul vs. Lewis
John's Coverage Schedule -- Opening Weekend:
Fri, November 12 - Eastern Kentucky vs. Loyola
Sun, November 14 - Chicago State vs. DePaul
Of course even the games not covered live will be analyzed, including UIC's first few games of the season, Northwestern at Northern Illinois and the rest of Loyola's tournament weekend, I may even try to slip in a second live Ramblers game if I get the chance.
Here's hoping for a great season.
