Five non-traditional basketball courts

You might not have heard, but Northwestern and Illinois are going to play a football game at Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, this afternoon. Also, Michigan State has proposed to play a basketball double-header on an aircraft carrier for Veterans Day (Nov. 11, 2011) next season.

Both of these ideas are non-traditional to say the least. So I came up with five venues I thought might make for good basketball locations around the city of Chicago. The only requirement? The ability to hold 94 feet by 50 feet of wood.
Of course, as we've learned, the Wrigley Field game isn't without its drawbacks. So I didn't forget to include the downsides of each location.

  • Basketball courts are basically made with hardwood and other materials, but here we have found a completely different story of a basketball court that, how to play basketball on a aircraft carrier. This is quite impressive but, I was just wondering about surface and how we can dribble the basketball. Thanks for providing such wonderful overview about non-traditional basketball courts.
