Nate Rogers transferring to UMKC

Last season Nate Rogers walked onto the DePaul basketball team and had himself quite a year. He won the Dunk Contest at Midnight Madness and then appeared in 20 games in Jerry Wainwright's discombobulated rotation.

The transition to Oliver Purnell, and the strong incoming class of recruits, seems to have pushed Rogers towards going somewhere he can find significant playing time - and get a scholarship to play college basketball. Rogers is transferring to UMKC to play for the Kangaroos.
Rogers is going to be on scholarship for the Kangaroos. He needs to sit out next season and then will have three more years of eligibility remaining. Congratulations to Rogers. This is a good landing spot for him. His athleticism and effort should translate to good things in the Summit League.
