Mid-Season All-Chicago College Basketball Team

This is the Chicago College Basketball Mid-Season team as selected by me. The toughest spot to pick was the second guard spot next to Northwestern's Michael Thompson. (I think he's the Player of the Year thus far this season.)

Agree or disagree with the selections? Did I leave someone out? Let me know in the comments.

  • First off, let me just say that I just discovered this blog and I love it! Keep up the good work! Big NU fan here.

Juice is certainly the unquestioned leader of the Northwestern team. The job he did he keep the team together when Coble went down was very impressive. The Tennessee State game comes to mind right away. However, given his recent shooting slump I would probably give first half MVP to John Shruna. Starting in the Chicago Invitational he really started to roll. I think ever since the Notre Dame game he has been playing better than anyone we've seen in a Northwestern uniform for quite some time. He just finds away to get it done. He was Northwestern's most impressive player in a lot of important games this year, including Notre Dame, Iowa State, Stanford, and Michigan State. I know I'm nitpicking, but it's just my opinion.

Other than that, I love the list. Keep up the great work!
