This Friday is dedicated to players that have moved on from Chicago's college basketball teams. Craig Moore and Dar Tucker two players that had been stalwarts for Northwestern and DePaul respectively. Chicago State's senior class won 19 games a year ago and also provided some fantastic highlights. UIC's Scott VanderMeer and Josh Mayo were great ambassadors for the Flames and Darrin Williams was a force in the middle for Loyola.
Moore graduated after the 2008-09 season and moved on to the Netherlands. Tucker jumped off the sinking ship that was DePaul's 2008-09 season and made an ill-fated attempt to make an NBA squad. Now his best shot is hoping to get selected in November 5th's D-League Draft. Chicago State's David Holston and John Cantrell are playing in Europe, as are Mayo and VanderMeer. Former Rambler J.R. Blount is getting into coaching.
This post isn't about the future though, it's about the past. I've picked out a few videos that I think illustrate the qualities of many of the seniors from last year. Let's remember them one more time before the 2009-10 season begins and they become memories forever. Craig Moore:
