Sunday Links - Late

These Sunday links are a little late. Also, the news that I can find about the college basketball teams in the area is starting to peter out. While I'll have some other features in the near future about schedules, greatest players of all-time and other interesting questions facing Chicago's college basketball teams, I want to encourage people to leave interesting links that they've found pertaining to Chicago college basketball in the comments. This list is certainly not reflective of all the material out there, though it does include the three most interesting things I read this week. The Links:

-Jereme Richmond (sf, Waukegan HS) is another one of the Chicago-area's top high school talents that will be leaving the city to play college basketball. Richmond was one of the top performers at Peach Jam, but he's made a verbal commitment to Illinois.

-Is peer pressure a good thing? This article in the GazetteOnline.com suggests it has been a boon for Iowa. The commitment of Ben Brust to the Hawkeyes over Northwestern and Butler has led to a number of other players also coming to play for Iowa.

-This week didn't contain a lot of positive news for Northwestern, and some people are starting to get nervous about the 2010 recruiting class. As players such as Brust and Alex Rossi leave the state, who are the Wildcats going to find to replace Kevin Coble and the rest of the Wildcat seniors? That's what Welsh-Ryan Ramblings wants to know.

Have you seen anything particularly relevant to fans of DePaul, Chicago State, Loyola, UIC or Northwestern this week? Share it in the comments.
