Dominique Ferguson looking at DePaul

Due to a recent coaching hire, DePaul appears to be in the running for an elite basketball recruit. Indianapolis Lawrence North's Dominique Ferguson is considering nine schools. Ferguson, one of the top rated forwards in the Class of 2010, is a 6'9" 210 pounds. He decided to reopen his recruitment when Billy Gillespie left Kentucky.

When Tracy Webster was hired as a Blue Demons assistant coach it gave DePaul an inside shot at bringing Ferguson to Lincoln Park in 2010. Ferguson's close relationship with Webster was one of the reasons he originally committed to Kentucky.
Currently Ferguson is considering nine schools, the other eight of which read like a Who's Who of the most prestigious basketball schools in the country. Also on Ferguson's list are:
  • Arizona
  • Duke
  • Kentucky
  • Florida
  • Indiana
  • Texas
  • UCLA
  • Tennessee
ESPN's Scouts Inc. ranks Ferguson #8 in the Top 100 recruits for 2010. He has an overall rating of 96, so getting Ferguson to come to DePaul would be a major coup for the Blue Demons. He is an elite athlete that could make an instant impact on the program. Scout.com regards Ferguson as a 5-star prospect and the #3 power forward in the Class of 2010.
