Bulls announce tentative 2011-12 preseason schedule

The NBA picked a Thursday afternoon in mid-August to announce its very tentative 2011-12 preseason schedule. Due to the lockout, virtually no one believes the regular season will start on time -- much less the preseason. Still, the preseason is scheduled to tip off on October 9.

The Bulls are scheduled to open their preseason on October 10 against the Charlotte Bobcats at the United Center. The preseason finale would be on October 27 against the Milwaukee Bucks in Chicago. Here's a complete look at the Bulls' 2011-12 preseason schedule:

Date Opponent Time (CT) TV
Monday, Oct. 10 CHARLOTTE BOBCATS 7:00 P.M. CSN
Thursday, Oct. 13 at Indiana Pacers# TBD WGN
Wednesday, Oct. 19 at Minnesota Timberwolves* 7:00 P.M. CSN
Friday, Oct. 21 INDIANA PACERS 7:00 P.M. WGN
Tuesday, Oct. 25 at Charlotte Bobcats 7:00 P.M. WGN
Thursday, Oct. 27 MILWAUKEE BUCKS 7:00 P.M. CSN

# Location and time is TBD
* Game to be played at Sioux Falls Arena in Sioux Falls, S.D.

The schedule certainly seems a little odd. The Bulls would play Charlotte, Indiana -- which faced Chicago in the first round of last season's playoffs -- and Minnesota all twice.

Nevertheless, Bulls fans would be happy just to get these games in. If only.
