Anyone else have seller’s remorse on John Salmons yet? He’s currently playing outstanding basketball for Milwaukee, and the Bulls could desperately use what he’s giving them right now. Our biggest problem with Salmons is that we took him out of the position he was so good at and put him in one he’s not so... Read more »
An interesting quote from Deng per Mike McGraw: “We really feel like the trades were great for us,” forward Luol Deng said. “The schedule gets tough, but we have confidence in the team we have. When we play our best, I feel like we can play with anybody.” Now here’s a quote you can really... Read more »
We’re sports fans, that’s what we do! The Bulls, Bucks, and Bobcats all won their post-trade deadline debuts. All three teams got some contributions from the new guys to help them along the way. Obviously, I didn’t watch all three games at once, so we’re going to be doing a little box score diving. Bulls:Hakim... Read more »
I will presume the Bulls hit the trade deadline with several goals. I will place them in order of my own personal order. 1: Ensure adequate cap space is available to pursue a max FA in 2010.2: Have a playoff caliber team for this season.3: Make incremental future improvements. How did the Bulls do? On... Read more »
One of the sneakier things the front office did at the deadline was trade Salmons and Tyrus and get back two guys on expiring deals, Hakim Warrick and Flip Murray, who seem to fit the vacated bench slots on first glance. The Bucks are either going to send Hakim Warrick and Joe Alexander OR Kurt Thomas and Francisco Elson to the Bulls. Probably the former.... Read more »
Tell me honestly, were you paying more attention to the Bulls game or refreshing a combination of yahoo sports, csn chicago, espn, and chicagobreakingsports.com’s web pages hoping to find out more about the Salmons trade and whether anything else was going down? David Aldridge’s twitter: Not finalized, but two sources say Bulls and Bucks may be closing in on deal sending Salmons to MKE for Kurt Thomas, Francisco Elson. The deal probably helps both teams. The Bulls could especially use this deal if they move Tyrus for an expiring and a pick since it gives them a... Read more »
Per KC Johnson’s Twitter: Bulls management has told Salmons to remain at team hotel as it works to finalize a trade. Won’t play vs. Knicks. Any thoughts on where he might be headed? We’ve heard very little about where Salmons might be headed, so it’s hard to speculate. Orlando for JJ Reddick? [dare to dream].... Read more »
