  • in regards to offense, I read somewhere the Bulls rated 20th in paint points with 39pts a game(pretty aweful). Butler, Robinson and Belinelli are better drivers/paint scorers compared to who they are replacing. I definitely think paint points should go up some and and relieve the Bulls of being a heavily jumpshooting team....another aspect that did them in against the Sixers who stayed home on the shooters. Hinrich doesnt drive nor shoot well, lets hope he runs the team well under the thibodeau system and hits a good percentage from 3....maybe a Keith Bogans of combo guards.

  • Question I would ask Thibs is if he plans to use Butler the way he uses Deng? What I believe they will do is try to have Butler play the same style of play as Deng so that the things Deng does well will not be missed when he is on the bench. If he can do that then Deng will not have to play so many minutes. As for Hamilton, I disagree with how bad he was last season. When he was healthy, I thought that he played well overall. When he played will Rose i thought he was great. As Doug said, "if he can stay on the floor", will be the big question. I think that the injury debates with Rose and Hamilton both are due to the compressed season and no alternatives more so than coaching or player breakdown. I think Thibs felt he could not score enough without Rose so he had to leave him in all game long. I don't know if he trusted Watson that much. The compressed schedual did not allow Rose or Hamilton enough time to heal and kept them from getting into a good rythm. Personaly, I think Hamilton will bounch back with a good season because of the full training camp and that the bench will be much more potent than what people are willing to say. I'm looking forward to a great year.

  • This is a question for Gar Forman. With a situation in which the team was likely to lose members of the bench and a cap situation that is close to the luxury tax why didn't the team make a move to acquire an extra pick in the draft particularly with us selecting a player that we didn't expect to be there. That is in addition to our need at the 2 in which several players that were worked out fell and just the fact that several young, promising wings were there for the taking and would come at a low price relative to signing a vet.
