Kobe vs Jordan, can Kobe close the gap?

The debate between Kobe and Jordan has raged on for some time, who's the best SG in the history of the league?    Most would say Jordan, but as Kobe comes closer to matching his airness's rings, the debate gets more interesting.

Okay, it's not really that interesting.

Why even fuel the debate, there is no argument. MJ the best to ever play the game hands down. Kobe can win more titles than Jordan he will still never be better.

Isn't three point percentage the only category Kobe bests Jordan in?

  • In reply to Jmax:

Yeah, by a WHOLE .012 percent.

  • In reply to Jmax:

Kobe will have to make up the Titles Shaq won for them before we start debating this lol. Nice Pics!!!

Somebody over on the Truehoop blog just did a comparison of Jordans 1072 game career vs Kobes first 1072 which he just past last week.

Jordan beat Kobe in every statistic except one, he averaged more turnovers per game(O,K, 2, his 3 point percentage is point something higher.

This includes Jordans 2 years with the Wizards when he was 39 and 40 years old and had a knee injury in year one.

The argument isn't even close when you look at the stats.

I have always said that Kobe is the only guy that even gets to have the conversation vs Jordan, but he just doesn't quite measure up. Kobe has had his Jordan like moments but Jordan was always Jordan like.

kobe is up there with the other really good players like barkley drexler the human highlight film etc. Jordan is in a class by himself. the only person who even comes close is me.

  • In reply to Reese1:

Well played, Mr. Thonus, well played.

  • Jordan is the best SG but Kobe isn't a too bad! :-)
Cool pics with the two players trophies!
