Sorry folks, late on the pregame thread, this is basically just a stub for game discussion.
Biggest news is that Taj Gibson is out for the game against the Suns. Hopefully the Bulls can overcome his loss, otherwise, I'll go back to what I said prior to the Lakers game. Don't try and kill yourself to beat the Lakers and lose, only to lose the Suns game due to your overexertion in a loss the night before.
The Bulls played with fire playing Gibson 40 minutes against the Lakers, and Rose/Noah played a 40 minutes as well, so the Bulls are now undermanned and fatigued in a winnable game after killing themselves in a loss. If they don't manage to pull this game out, then it's a lesson for the coaching staff.
Keys to the game:
Rose crushes Nash. Seriously, Nash has no hope of hell of staying in front of Rose and the Suns have no interior defenders to bother him in the paint. They can't defend, so Rose should kill them.
Noah can dominate the paint. The Suns have no big bodies to harass him, so Noah should be the best big man on the floor tonight. Look for him to kill on the glass and have effective offense against the Suns.
Luol Deng should play the four, and play it well. He'll be going up against Hedo, so the Bulls should still have an advantage at this point. Hedo's not a good defender, nor is he a high pace player at this point. I expect Deng to come back and show us he has something left in the tank.
The bench must give us something. Last night the bench was an abomination, tonight they need to give the Bulls something.
The Bulls should win this game. Even without Gibson, they're the favorites. The only thing that slows them down is the fatigue from last night. Hopefully it's not that big a factor.
