Bulls Beat #154 - Pippen's in

I usually do everything in a PG to PG13 type of style, but I got a bit carried away in this one, so don't play it in the car with the kids.

Bulls Beat #154 - Pippen's in and some rated R rants
  Some discussion of Scottie
Pippen's hall of fame induction, why theMiami Heat trio are such
douchebags, and why Carmelo for Deng + Noah would hurt emotionally but
is good for the Bulls.

  • This is awesome......HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Do you feel better now, Doug? :)

  • Hey Doug, I don't want to involve a cool moderator and blog purveyor like yourself with some b.s, but this Houston jag personally insulted me(and you), and is repeating the lie that I first made some personal remark to him which I never did. Then you've got #1BullsFan chiming in about it when he know's nothing of the situation. It just kind of sucks when out of the blue someone calls you an asslicker, and then keeps wanting to insult you on top of it.

I'm not going to waste my time with it any more, but it is pretty lame. Though I'm sure #1BullsFan will have to keep chiming in on my comments for a while instead of just letting his own comments stand like a man(which apprently he's not).

  • And it's just funny that the same idiot who personally insulted me is championing Kobe(who in the hell on this Bulls blog really doesn't think Kobe is an a-hole), Jerry F-ing for HOF(?) Krause who treated Phil like garbage, and sent him away needlessly, and then LeBron who I posted some links to some of the reep what you sow incidents he's been inlvolved with since he f-ed his fans and all other initially interested teams/fans with that Decision abortion. And that's who this guy is defending? Is there anyone else here who doesn't think this guy is just purposely being an ass? Besides fellow as*hat #Bullsfan I mean.

  • In reply to MarkNorman:

Interesting that you spew pure venom for no reason. You seem to think you are the only one who can blog or insult people. Anytime someone makes a comment you respond to them but never expect anyone to respond to you! That is one-sided and ridiculous. I have agreed w/you on this blog several times. However, if I or anyone else has a differing opinion than you they should have to be coursed out/name-called...but if that's all that you can resort to don't dish it if you can't take it.

  • In reply to MarkNorman:

Check the blog on 8/12 buddy...you started attacking Houston after he had a disagreement w/Doug. Unfortunately, you seem to be a spiteful and hateful person that can't let anything go.

Again you continue to call me all kinds of obscenities(I can take it btw w/o retaliating in kind) when I never used such expletives in response to you. Just saying that you seem hypocritical.

  • In reply to MarkNorman:

    Doug,

    FYI:

I know for a fact that Scottie Pippen acknowledged Horace Grant during his afternoon chat on Facebook. He said he was one of the best teamates he had along with Dennis Rodman.

  • In reply to MarkNorman:

He n Horace used to take their "dates" to what is now the renaissance hotel along rt. 41 in northbrook way back when. And remember when Horace posed in Cherry magazine with some sluts?...good times...I imagine Taj growing to play offensively like Horace...good spacing, hits the open jumper, passing well, and crashing the boards hard.

  • In reply to MarkNorman:

Lol I'm glad you share the same hatred for the trio as me, I've been loving the edgyness of your last few articles on em and the last podcasts definatly showed it.

  • In reply to MarkNorman:

    THIS JUST IN:

Luol Deng once again led the Great Britain National Team to a big victory (4-0).

    live.fibaeurope.com/netcasting/default.a...

    STATS:

    1st Half - 9 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist on 2/9 FG Shooting

    2nd Half - 19 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists on 6/11 FG Shooting

    * He also finished 8/13 from the FT-line. He had just a MONSTER 4th period, scoring over 10 points.

  • In reply to MarkNorman:

    LUOL DENG:

Here's the stat-line from the game.

    http://live.fibaeurope.com/netcasting/default.asp?game_number=7663-B-10µsite_scope=undefined

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Thanks for the stats, of coarse you want him traded ASAP.

  • In reply to UnstopaBull:

    UnstopaBull,

Yes...I would prefer Melo over Deng, but for now Deng is on the Bulls.

Therefore, I would like to see him do well in international play.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

That was definitely the funniest edition of the bulls beat.

  • In reply to MarkNorman:

Here's why Miami will struggle to eclipse the Bulls record & eventually an NBA title IMO: They will be the most hated team in the history of the NBA. More so than any Lakers team, more so than the bad boy Pistons, more than any hated team. Teams like the Pistons reveled in their hatred however, while this Miami team has the potential to be greatly affected in a negative way by it, for it is not in their nature to be hated. This is why James is taking his mental notes. He is sensitive towards this new hatred for him, and it greatly offends him, and it seems to me this could alter his play, especially on the road with thousands of screaming fans yelling obscenities and personally attacking him. This is the guy who expects the masses to kneel before him and address him as the King after all. He is human, this will not inspire him like it would a guy like Laimbeer(although their douchebag levels are close), it will psych him out especially over the coarse of a full 82 game season. This is true for Bosh and Wade as well. It has been mentioned many times that the Heat will get every team's best effort every night, and they will, and honestly they will blow a lot of teams out, and when it comes to facing adversity, I don't think they will have gone through enough team building that close games provide to actually develop the chemistry. Boston did it, but Boston's pieces fit better, all of the big 3 there did something a little different. I think the big 3 in Miami are all more or less scorers from penetration, with the only major exceptions being LeBron's passing and Bosh's inside work, which still struggles against more physical players. But perhaps most importantly, Bosh & James are quitters! They quit on their former teams when they were playing, they quit when they left them. They do not have the fortitude to persevere in the playoffs. Wade may be a little different, and he has won a title with another elite player (and the help of perhaps the worst officiating in finals history), but I still have my doubts. I also doubt his durability.

To me this is a 60-65 win team who will be a lot better at home than on the road. This is a team that will struggle to live up to expectations and deal with adversity and will be prone to losing streaks (albeit small ones). In the playoffs, I would take the field. One other note: Will the 3 continue to get their calls from the refs at the same rate they have been? Is that possible? The NBA, especially with all the national attention, will want exciting games. No one wants to see this team living at the line. There will be fewer calls sending them to the line and that is a big part of all 3's games, and also in addition to this direct effect, how they respond by complaining and unraveling will also decrease their production.

  • In reply to ChiRy:

To add to your point, I think Kobe commented on 72 wins a year or so ago and thought that being in the middle of the US is a factor as well, as travel fatigue from Miami-West coast could cost them a couple of games alone.

  • In reply to ChiRy:

Derrick Rose looking good today. And he seems to have improved his three pointer. Here is a great quote from John Schuhmann:

Midway through the quarter, China was in a zone and their coach Bob Donewald Jr. shouted out

  • In reply to claytonabigsby:

Thats awesome. Hope DR is truely getting that cut throat mentality. Its officially his team to make or break now. Cant wait till pre season!

  • In reply to MarkNorman:

    WHO CARES?

Let's MOVE ON from talking about the Miami Heat. Why give them the time of day?

    They aren't worth it.

  • In reply to MarkNorman:

    DERRICK ROSE:

I guess he did pretty good today in the scrimmage vs. China.

  • In reply to MarkNorman:

THIS MATTERS (not the Miami Heat):

Last I checked, Luol Deng is on the Chicago Bulls, not LBJ, DWADE and/or CBOSH.

  • Doug,

What Derrick Rose, Luol Deng and Omer Asik do in International competition this summer should matter a hell of a lot more to Bulls' fans, then what LBJ, DWADE and CBOSH say.

We need to get our PRIORITIES straight.

  • Doug,

Also, you call what Deng's international competition 3rd-rate, but keep in mind he's trying to quality his country for the Olympics in 2012. That's not 3rd-rate.

On top of that, NBA players like Bargnani, Bellineli, Pachulia, Gortat, Pecherov and Casspi are also competing in the EUROBASKET tourney this summer.

Right now, I would say Deng is the MVP of that whole tourney, both sides of it.

He's in the top 10 in 15 out of the 17 statistical categories.

That's impressive, no matter the competition.

  • REPORT:

The Jannero Pargo deal with Golden State is on hold.

    http://realgm.net/src_wiretap_archives/68691/20100814/warriors_put_pargo_deal_on_ice_waiting_for_other_options/

We don't need him back. Thank you very much.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

    God please......NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to evilhoban:

No worries...If the Bulls were to bring him back, he would be buried so deep on the bench nobody would notice him. He would just be a roster spot.

  • In reply to Houston:

I don't want to see him in a Bulls uniform again....

  • In reply to evilhoban:

    No. Pargo. Please.

  • In reply to Vohaul79:

I just puked in my mouth a bit remembering every time DRose would get hot Vinny would inexplicably pull him and put pargo in. Why? Why? Why?

Hopefully Thibs knows how to milk a hot hand this year. I swear to god every time Rose would start going off I coukd count the seconds till he was benched. I liked Vinny ok but man, what a moron sometimes.

Milk the hot hand! That is all.

  • In reply to Houston:

Some people, Doug Thonus and his followers, have the ability to focus on many different things at once.

    Thank you

  • In reply to UnstopaBull:

    UnstopaBull,

Yeah...you guys like to focus on DUMB SHIT like what LBJ, DWADE and CBOSH said.

Who gives a F*CK? Why should you?

Rose, Deng and Asik are on the Bulls, not those three douchebags.

People should give a shit what they are doing this summer and how they are developing as players. But no, let's focus on the DUMB SHIT that doesn't f*ckin matter. That makes sense.

Come on people. Let's focus on what's important, that being the DEVELOPMENT OF THE BULLS' YOUNG PLAYERS.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Can you tell me how James Johnson is developing? I haven't heard much about him lately.

  • In reply to UnstopaBull:

    UnstopaBull,

Based on his player in Summer League, not too well.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

They should look to trade him then, do you have any ideas?

  • In reply to UnstopaBull:

    UnstopaBull,

I'll leave that up to the Bulls' management.

But yes, he should be traded or sent to the D-League.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Are there any SG's we could trade for? or any big time FA's coming up in 2011?

  • In reply to UnstopaBull:

There was a list of Wings which MrHappy published. There were a lot of "young" players....and I think we discussed trading picks, Deng,James Johnson, cash for Melo....Bug If JJ is going to the D-League, I think he is trash trade. If Deng becomes MVP of FIBA, then we can trade Deng for Melo when his value is high;-)

  • In reply to schaumburgfan:

    schaum,

    We don't need sarcasm.

It is good to see Deng doing well, regardless of what the competition is. Personally, I would rather see him dominate this FIBA tourney, than not.

    Wouldn't you?

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Not really..we want to dominate in NBA competition which I think he can do most of the time except against a few stars. He is not JJ or Taj who need experience. He needs to work on particular skills such as 3-point shooting. His BB IQ is already good and he needs to develop chemistry with the Bulls and not the Brit team. He needs to be healthy and improve on his weaknesses(3 point shooting)..He might be doing it there but we have seen enough cases where this kind of thing works well against inferior competition

  • In reply to schaumburgfan:

    schaum,

So, you don't want to see Deng do well in international experience.

    WOW!!!

I guess you aren't into seeing Deng develop as an NBA player either.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Don't act as if you are a Deng fan. All you want to do is dump him at the first available moment for even Sam Young. I like Deng and he is one of my favorite Bulls players. I am looking at what needs to happen realistically rather than him dominate less than college-level competition and get hurt during that time.
We need him to go against LBJ, Pierce etc..and do decently and that means improve his 3 point shooting to keep those guys of the paint during defense.

  • In reply to schaumburgfan:

    schaum,

Based on your comments, you are NAIVE to the impact international experience can have on the development of a player. I guess I didn't expect anything less than that from you.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

    DERRICK ROSE:

That certainly was a PISS-POOR effort by him today vs. France.

He better STEP-UP his play and effort, if he wants to make the final roster.

    BLAH...

  • In reply to MrHappy:

    Trade him!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to evilhoban:

I am currently working on a list of Western Conference teams in need of a PG that also have a wing to give back. I will post this list as soon as it's ready.

  • In reply to KenyattaWright:

    ...mmm.:)

  • In reply to KenyattaWright:

What does that even mean? You half-a-tard, he had an off game....is the sky falling now? Remember when he sucked it up in the summer league when Beasly killed us (while singing) and then sat out the rest of the games due to his knee? He'll be fine. You, on the other hand.....

  • In reply to KenyattaWright:

    evil,

    Temper-temper...

...you get so defensive when I use humor to respond back to some of the crap you keep spewing from your mouth. It's actually entertaining how you know absolutely nothing about basketball, but just can't resist commenting on whatever I say.

When you and your immature friends on here grow up and stop the name calling and actually have something worthwhile to say about the Bulls, let us all know.

    Thanks.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

You really have no idea what you're talking about, whether it be trade proposals or anything else. If I know nothing, you are in the negatives...

  • In reply to evilhoban:

    evil,

On the contrary, I know how to talk about the Bulls, not childish crap.

    Get a clue.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

    Here's a clue:

If talking about Miami is so "POINTLESS", according to your logic, than talking about Sam Young for so long was just as "POINTLESS". He's a Grizzly right? Melo is a Nugget who wants to play for the Knicks. Not Bulls...and no chance of being traded here, so maybe you should abide by your own standards.

  • In reply to evilhoban:

    evil,

You just keep proving my point that you are CLUELESS when it comes to the Bulls and NBA basketball.

Miami is set. The Bulls aren't getting LBJ, DWADE or CBOSH. That mission has come and gone.

However, Melo and Young seem to be available.

Both could help the Bulls in their own way. Melo in a big way.

    GET A CLUE!!!

  • In reply to MrHappy:

You just keep proving my point that you have a special seat on the short bus.

    Exhibit A-
You pulled Young out of your ass, as there have been NO talks about him whatsoever.

    Exhibit B-
Melo wants to play in New York...not Chicago. Quit making crap up.

    Exhibit C-
    You're an idiot.

    The prosecution rests....

  • In reply to evilhoban:

    evil,

    Do the math.

Memphis has 7 WINGS on their team. I said they could afford to give one of them up. Most likely, Sam Young or Xavier Henry, who are both having contract problems.

And I suppose you talked to Melo personally to find out that he wants to go to NY, not Chicago.

"Stupid is as stupid does." That saying was made for you not Forrest Gump apparently.

Don't you mean the defense rests?

Afterall, you are ALWAYS on the defensive when it comes to what I say.

Keep working on it. Maybe someday you'll form your own quality opinions about the Bulls.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

You mean maybe I can make fake stuff up, too? No thanks. I want to comment on REAL Bulls news and rumors....not lame ass crap that you pull out of your butt and puke all over this blog. YOU MAKE STUFF UP!!!! It's not even realistic, the stuff you come up with! I suppose we'll be trading for Durant next, eh? Who else is on the list? Do you have inside info on this like you claimed to have with D-Wade? There were NEVER talks for Sam Young...but that didn't stop Mr. Redundant from repeating himself like a stuttering (apologies to Mr. Ron Harper)idiot.....

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Does anybody here know what's going on with the Miami Heat these days? I'd be interested in knowing everyone's view on the subject.

  • In reply to zmorg77:

    Ghost,

    Tweet LBJ, CBOSH or DWADE.

I'm sure they will tell you everything you need to know...haha.

  • In reply to schaumburgfan:

Thanks for ripping on the 3 guys. We need to rip them as much as possible. Again, I think Bulls fans anger should be more at Wade rather than LBJ or Bosh. LBJ screwed Cleveland and Bosh screwed Toronto and both have acted as universal scumbags. But Wade screwed the Bulls ...This was a Pat Riley as the snake head planned offense. They knew the Bulls were probably the biggest competition for them and you didn't see Wade pick on Cavs, Knicks or anybody else...That's why this classless scumbag called Wade is the worst of the characters...

  • In reply to schaumburgfan:

    schaum,

Why am I not surprised that you would thank Doug for ripping on LBJ, DWADE and CBOSH? Last I checked, this is America, those guys can say what they want.

It doesn't matter what they say, unless you let it matter.

You, Doug and a few others on here obviously have let what they say matter.

    Why? I'm not sure.

  • In reply to UnstopaBull:

As usual, love the podcast. Really a treat when we get them...I think I could listen to you ramble about the NBA all day. You need a daily gig doing broadcast! (which Im guessing youd love to happen as well?)

By the way I really like Mark as the crazy stat guy, but the blog isnt the same without a heavy dose of Thonus, good to see you couldnt stay away. /asskiss

  • In reply to UnstopaBull:

    Nearly pissed a little ; )

  • In reply to Vohaul79:

    Vohaul,

I just don't see the point of discussing what LBJ, DWADE and CBOSH are doing or saying over the discussing what Rose, Deng and Asik are doing during international play this summer.

I thought this was a Bulls' blog, not a Miami Heat blog.

The words and actions of LBJ, DWADE and CBOSH don't matter to the Bulls' players or management and shouldn't matter to Bulls' fans either.

They only matter, if people let them matter.

  • In reply to UnstopaBull:

    nyuck, nyuck, nyuck....:)

  • In reply to UnstopaBull:

Doug, maybe it is the wind in your hair, but I am little surprised by your level of animation with regard to Wade, Lebron and Bosh.

You normally are more reasoned and analytical rather than purely emotional like most of the rest of us here on the site. How is it that these guys managed to get under your skin so bad. Usually you present a balanced pro and con type of argument.

This is not in any way a condemnation of your reaction, but your reaction seems out of character from the norm for you. The vehemence of your reaction really surprises me. In many ways you sound more like a Cleveland fan, which for them is justifiable.

Nothing these guys(athletes/celebrities in general)do surprises me anymore. They are world class althletes, not world class human beings. If anything, they are just a reflection of the general decline of our society overall, of which the culture of celebrity worship is just one aspect.

If you take a step back, I think that you will see that their behaviour was 100% expected, if not in any way acceptable. We are in the decline of the Roman Empire phase of our existance as a great nation, and they are symptomatic of the reasons why.

Celebrities/Athletes are just not worth getting that worked up about. But, the way in which they have behaved(Doucheyness as you say) does make rooting against them that much more enjoyable, especially since relatively speaking this Bulls team seems like a much more likable/humble bunch of guys, at least so far.

  • In reply to BigWay:

Totally agree with you. We're like the same person.

  • In reply to BigWay:

Roman Empire? Really? Did you just come across a story on wikipedia and now you're trying to act smart? Actually, you just sound pretentious.

I'm familiar with the Roman Empire phase of which you speak. The worship of false idols like celebrities instead of intellectuals, academics...

However, it's not an original thought, so take your finger out of your ass, plagiarist.

And the funniest part of your tirade on how our current society resembles the downfall of the Roman Empire is that you are posting on a basketball blog, not an academic blog. Do you litter the blogs at USWeekly with your plagiarized views on the our society too?

Do you see the irony, smart guy? Do you know what irony means? You're participating in the very society you claim to despise. You're a jackass. Get off your high horse.

    You're still pathetic.

    And still an asshole.

  • In reply to KenyattaWright:

    Agreed. :)

  • In reply to UnstopaBull:

    UnstopaBULL,

Who do you recommend? Don't hurt your brain thinking of any ideas.

  • Consider it dropped, but if he has a problem, I have no problem settling it either. I provided the evidence as to what was said. Hopefully, lessons are learned and I won't have to handle things that way again...

  • In reply to Houston:

I didn't make ANYTHING up by the way. I showed what happened. In sequence, with the times. I didn't initiate the situation, I was attacked, and I attacked back.

  • In reply to Houston:

    BOX SCORE:

Here's the Box Score for the TEAM USA scrimmage vs. China.

    http://www.usabasketball.com/photos/10_mnt_scrimm_china_box.pdf

It seems to me like DROSE needs to be the starting PG for Team USA.

  • Did he mention Harp, Pax, Toni? I dont remember but its really not that big a deal.

  • Only to the point of them testing some new stuff. If Deng puts in a lot of 3-pointers, that's a good sign. He is probably the focal point of the defense and it is a good sign if he can nail some 3 pointers. Otherwise, I agree ...there is no use of those stats such as rebounds, free throws etc...

  • In reply to schaumburgfan:

    schaum,

Again, you miss the point of Deng's experience on the International stage. He is arguably the best player in his tournament. That means he gets to be THE MAN. He's the LEADER of his team. He's the one who has to take the BIG SHOTS. He's the one who gets the DOUBLE-TEAMS.

All and all, it's important that he performs well, which he is.

  • In reply to schaumburgfan:

    FOCUS PEOPLE:

Every Bulls' fan on here should not give a shit what LBJ, DWADE or CBOSH are saying or doing this summer. They are not apart of the Chicago Bulls' organization.

FOCUS on the right things here.

In case people were unaware, Doug Thonus and his followers, Derrick Rose, Luol Deng and Omer Asik, who are all members of the Chicago Bulls, are competing this summer in International basketball games.

I suggest people, Doug Thonus and his followers, WAKE THE F*ck UP and starting focusing on what matters. The Chicago Bulls' and the development of their young players, not the Miami Heat and the douchebags that exist on their roster.

    Thank you.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

I like hearing Dengs doing well as much as the next guy...Id rather hear hes practicing not shooting long twos all summer. At the end of the day I think im in the who gives a shit until pre season starts. Oct. cant come soon enough.

  • In reply to Vohaul79:

    Vohaul,

Thanks for being an intelligent Bulls' fan.

  • I'm with you in not getting what the trio is doing. Normally, when you have these teams of greatness come about, there's another team that plays the rival or villain role, so that the team can be heroes. But who's going to look at these jerks as heroes? If anything, they seem to be setting themselves up as the villains.

I don't know which team is going to try to challenge the trio, but I am certain that the majority of the nation is going to latch onto that team heavily.

  • Hadn't refreshed the screen by then...my bad

  • Thank the maker we have a new 3pt threat...if I had to watch Deng chuck long twos w one foot inside the 3pt line again all season Id pull my hair out. Its almost frustrating even hearing that hes shooting international 3s / long twos.

    Noooooooo.

I do think that overall though Deng is underrated.

  • Actually, if you think about it, Mappy could well be a character to base a sitcom around. Maybe the TV version of Dinner for/with Schmucks.

  • In reply to BigWay:

    Bigway,

It just shows your level of knowledge when it comes to the Bulls and the NBA. You are a child and a novice.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Really? How does Bigway commenting on your persona relate to his knowledge of the Bulls and the NBA? Please explain?

  • In reply to evilhoban:

    evil,

The use of name-calling just shows the lack of maturity you and your fellow classmates on here have.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

I didn't call you a name in the above post. You still can't explain your point.

  • In reply to evilhoban:

    evil,

Which point was that? The one about you being a CHILD. I think you have proven that time and time again.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

"How does Bigway commenting on your persona relate to his knowledge of the Bulls and the NBA?"

Can't you read? Whay are you avoiding the question?

  • In reply to BigWay:

    Agreed.

  • Not in any way agreeing with Mappy, but I am interested in the development that Rose might experience as a result of his participation in the world championships, particularly being around/playing with some of the other NBA superstars like Durant.

This experience should boost Rose's confidence as a team leader, which will be vitally important this season as we try to integrate all the new guys.

  • In reply to BigWay:

    Totally agree with you.

  • In reply to KenyattaWright:

    West,

    Thank you.

  • In reply to BigWay:

    Bigway,

Your name-calling must be part of your own insecurities.

    I don't have that problem.

  • Doug,

It's more like BLOG JUNK to talk about LBJ, DWADE and CBOSH. This is a Bulls' blog, not a Miami Heat blog, right?

  • In reply to MrHappy:

IMO, it's more like BLOG JUNK to make up asinine trades and throw them to the wall hoping they stick, than discussing probably our greatest competition in the East and whether or not they will challenge our franchise's 72 win legacy...

  • In reply to evilhoban:

    evil,

It's more like BLOG JUNK reading you not say anything worthwhile in these discussions.

Doug didn't discuss the Bulls, instead he chose to rip on Miami's three stars.

    That's non-productive.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

    MrCrappy,

It's more like BLOG JUNK reading you repeating your dumb ass in these discussions...everyday.

Miami is one of our top 2 roadblocks to the finals. Discussing them in NOT non-productive. Wanking to Sam Young for two weeks when it will never happen is. Just saying...

    evil,

Maturity at it's finest. I'm still waiting for you to make a solid point about basketball, instead of continuously comment on what I have to say.

It just shows everyone on here that you know nothing about basketball.

    Good job.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

    Crappy,

I'm waiting for you to prove how much you know about basketball. I could write a thesis on your lack of logic regarding the NBA...

  • In reply to evilhoban:

    evil,

I bet you would love to write a thesis on all my comments regarding the Bulls. You certainly can't come up with your own material when it comes to talking Bulls.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Well...you do seem to pull shit out of thin air quite a bit and just generally make shit up..... why would I want to do that?

Didn't see the game but noticed Westbrook only had 2 pts as well. Looks like today was Chauncey's day to solidify himself on the roster.

  • In reply to Redwhitenblack:

    Red,

Chauncey's experience already solidifies himself on the roster.

Westbrook, on the other hand, is on the bubble.

  • In reply to evilhoban:

Exactly. Our main competition now that we are a title team, and the team challenging our most prestegious record. Very relevant. Mr. Nappy just doesn't get it.

As for the Bulls this year, 55 wins & Rose & Noah make the All-Star team. Can't wait til October!

  • In reply to ChiRy:

    ChiRy,

Join the fray of the NAIVE. They are a perfect group for you, based on your lack of knowledge and understanding of pro basketball.

What LBJ, DWADE and CBOSH say has no direct impact on the Bulls.

However having Rose, Deng and Asik get international experience does.

    Get a clue.

It looks like Jeff Green and Javale McGee have been cut from the roster.

  • Way to defend the racist blogger. Interesting that you never said a word to him when he attacked an entire race.

So you think my recent post is worse than this? Ridiculous.

    Bigway said:

It is a good thing that Obama invited the token white guy(Gasol)even if he isn't American.

Otherwise, people might think that he is substantiating a racial stereotype by inviting only black players. Either that or is he himself a racist who only likes to hang out with black guys.

I thought that this guy was supposed to be post racial.

Notice how when blacks obtain power no one accusses them of racism when they chose to only hang out with people of their own race. Jordan has done the same thing as an executive and an owner.

That is what strikes me the most about his list.

  • DERRICK ROSE (Part 2):

2 points and 3 turnovers vs. France.

Those are the type of stats I expect to see from evil and Keyalla (combined), not DROSE.

  • Doug,

Morning Bulls or Morning Heat? You might want to clarify that.

You are kind of hung up on LBJ, if you haven't noticed.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

    *cough* JACKASS!!! *cough*

  • In reply to evilhoban:

    evil,

Are you looking in the mirror again?

  • In reply to MrHappy:

What a lame comeback...why do you even bother? Even "I know you are but what am I" is better. And you call ME childish....

  • In reply to evilhoban:

    evil,

Only children know and use those sayings.

Thanks for proving my point, once again.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Thanks for proving my point that you have absolutely nothing.:)

  • Mitchell,

Who really cares? Is Udonis Haslem on the Chicago Bulls? No.

Why is everyone so infactuated with the Miami Heat on here?

I thought this was a Bulls' blog. That's who we should be discussing.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

    Mitchell,

Believe me...karma will take care of the Heat.

  • Doug,

I'm a Bulls' fan, not a Heat fan.

I could careless what LBJ, DWADE and CBOSH say or do.

I'd rather discuss how the Bulls can get better. That includes how Rose, Deng and Asik do during international competition.

  • Doug,

    That's not true.

Rose had a decent game vs. China.

  • Doug,

    He's the LEADER and GO-TO-GUY for G.B.

I'd say that will only help his development as a player for the Chicago Bulls. But, what do I know?

  • Mitchell,

Coach K raved about Derrick Rose after the game, so that's a good sign.

For what it is worth, I do think Derrick Rose should be starting. His production is better and his role more defined when he's in the lineup with Kevin Durant.

I hope Coach K makes the switch and puts Rondo back on the bench.

  • I read that Rose is trying to focus more on the defensive side on the USA team. I guess Coach K is probably trying to build him into a defensive first player from the bench for 2012 Olympics when probably Melo, LBJ, Kobe etc.. get back. Hope he will be a starter by then. This will hopefully help him on the defensive side on the Bulls.

  • Mitchell,

Based on minutes or lack there of, I'd say Westbrook is gone.

By the way, here's great song for you.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uYWYWPc9HU

All the Bulls' fans who care about the Miami Heat will love it.

  • Mitchell,

    Here's his comments about Rose:

Coach, would you talk about what you hope to see from Derrick Rose over these coming weeks as players settle into their roles?

I think Derrick is going to keep getting better. Again, he plays so hard. His ball pressure is unbelievable. But he also wants it sometimes so badly that when it doesn't happen, he's hard on himself. That's why he's such a good player. He has such high standards. He wants it to be exactly right right now. This is so important for him.

Those are good places to be with players, instead of a guy who, I'm not sure I want to do this or whatever. Derrick - - I love Derrick. I think he's an exceptional kid. And I think he's going to end up being a great player. He has to find his niche in this group right now. And he's finding it. He's finding it. We have to help him a little bit more.

  • I guess trying to have us all meet up at a game this season is a bad idea.

  • In reply to UnstopaBull:

    Hilarious.

  • In reply to KenyattaWright:

I'll go! I call a seat next to Mr. Happy!!!!!

  • In reply to evilhoban:

I'd love to get a seat next to Bigway. Hopefully, someone can make this happen.
