Bulls also interested in Joey Graham for reasons that are not immediately obvious

In a tweet from AOL Fanhouse's Chris Tomasson, it is mentioned that the Bulls are chasing Nuggets free agent forward Joey Graham.

Nuggets want back FA forward Joey Graham, but might take more than min. Also have $2.08 mil. biannual Also looking at him Utah Miami Chicago

If true, the logic is hard to fathom. Joey Graham has every physical tool in the book; he is 6'7, hugely athletic, and very strong as evidenced by this rather cool picture;

However, that's about it.

For all his athletic tools, Graham is not a smart basketball player. His athletic tools aid him in transition, and he dunks a-plenty (accounting for 10% of his field goal attempts) but in a half court offense, he struggles way more. Graham is not a good jumpshooter, nor is he a particularly good slasher, and while he's a pretty good defensive player, it is of opposing forwards.

We really don't need that.

  • Let me know when the name SAM YOUNG, WAYNE ELLINGTON or RUDY FERNANDEZ get mentioned.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Can we sign and trade Mr. Crappy for a D-Wade gift basket?

Jealousy shows its' ugly face one more time.

    Don't hate; just appreciate.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Would you mind enlightening me on what I could possibly be jealous of?

Maybe your suave handling of the caps lock key?

Your blissful ignorance and lack of logic?

    Your crappy nickname?

    Oh shit....I AM jealous!

    ....mmm.

  • In reply to evilhoban:

maybe he thinks you are jealous of his brown nosing of young, wellington, fernandez and byars.

  • In reply to ZombieKevie:

    Kevie,

The only brown-nosing that is going on is the LOVEFEST for Dickey Johnson. To each their own I guess.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Is there really a James Johnson lovefest around here? Really?

  • In reply to ZombieKevie:

    RUMOR HAS IT:

Matt Barnes could sign with the Toronto Raptors soon.

Nothing concrete, but some buzz on the net about it.

    RUDY FERNANDEZ:

Apparently, the Bulls have made his list of teams he would like to be traded to.

    evil,

And don't be so DEFENSIVE, while you are at.

Jealousy is never a good thing.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

I'm truly jealous at how ****ing bat-shit retarded you are.

Go make a Sam Young hair doll.....mmm.

  • In reply to evilhoban:

    evil,

    Awww...

    Is somebody getting DEFENSIVE?

Go ask your mommy to make you a warm glass of milk.

    You might feel less JEALOUS.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Maybe I'll have YOUR mom make it for me....mmm.

    BACK-UP PG:

Cross Keyon Dooling off the list for a back-up PG role with the Bulls.

Was he even on their radar?

  • Mitchell,

    Good info.

  • Sounds good to me.....anyone know what Acie Law has been up to?

  • If the Bulls are getting C.J Watson that sounds like very good news to me at least accroding to his stats. Double figure scoring at 47%. Plus his steals average is solid. If he has good lat quickness defends decently to well that sounds like a great pick up. Even though his 3pt shooting two years is 30%, he also shot 40% on 120 attempts so there's some hope there.

I'd think they're going to have to give Golden State something of decent value back. If that something is James Johnson I'm all for it. Like I've said, I'm sure James is probably a decent guy off the court, but his maturity and basketball sense of the game appear troubling to me. With his talents if he could shoot there's no way I'd trade him. But his shot looks very funky/not going to get it done to me.

  • 1st off....Joey Graham is terrible.

CJ Watson...i really dont know much about him but if he was averaging 10ppg last year then thats not bad. Is he a shooter at all? An if we get rid of James Johnson that would open up a little more cap space wouldnt it. Maybe the Bulls want to bring in Tmac and Shaq or Shaq an Rasual Butler. I dont mind that.

  • Mitchell,

Watson is only 6'2" tall, so I can't see too much SG play in his future.

The Bulls could still trade Dickey Johnson for a SG. You never know.

  • The Bulls are going west...I mean picking players from the west. They got 3 from Utah...and now 1 from GS....Maybe they will trade next for Monta Ellis and Biedrins to get the big three from GS:-)
