The board in Gar Forman's office: What does it mean?

Saw this posted by Anorexercism on realgm.com where he analyzed the board in Gar Forman's office during the latest Chuck Swirsky video interview:
.

So what to make of this?   Probably nothing.   I doubt there's any real critical information on the board or else Forman wouldn't have allowed Swirsky to interview them there, but since we're officially in the off-season, let's have some fun with this:

It doesn't look like complete rosters of players, but it looks like groups of them from different teams.   Players the Bulls are interested in with stars being extra interest?   Hard to say.   The starred players don't appear to have much in common.   You've got fringe NBA players to good players, guys who are FAs to guys who are still under contract for two season, and there's big men and guards.

Starred players:
Ike Diogu (Hornets) - PF/C, he's a free agent, big physical guy, not that skilled, been in the league long enough that he looks like a bust.

Kyle Weaver (Thunder) - SG,  on rookie deal, non guaranteed this year, bigger defensive oriented guard, didn't play much in the NBA, not a great shooter, more of a slasher, but not that athletic

D.J. White (Thunder) - PF, 2 years on rookie deal left, physical moderate athlete, low post type PF, but spent time in the dleague and hasn't played many minutes in the NBA.

Joel Pryzbilla (Blazers) - C, 1 more year (ETO) at 7.145 million, defensive player, 30 years old

Greg Oden (Blazers) - C, 1 more year on rookie deal, defensive guy with health problems and potential

Leandro Barbosa (Suns) - SG, 7.1m 2010, po for 7.6 in 2011, slasher / transition player 27 years old

Ronnie Brewer (Grizzlies) - SG, restricted free agent, slasher / defender / not a good shooter

Guys we might look to acquire this summer for various reasons?   Some for financial bench, some because they're decent?

  • Conspiracy theory: maybe he put them there to throw everyone off who they are really chasing.

  • Looks like future free agent targets.

  • Maybe this is the list of the few guys in the league they are not going after. Kinda hoping that is the case.

  • In reply to CPBuff22:

I'd happily replace Hinrich with Barbosa.

  • In reply to CPBuff22:

These are all Center/PF or Shooting Guard types which is what the Bulls need. They are also on teams who will probably try to turn over their rosters because most of them will be out by the 2nd round.

Maybe they are teams which draft well but haven't developed them..

  • In reply to CPBuff22:

The list is of injured players in each of the western conference teams.

  • In reply to maddog2010:

thats the first thing that came to my mind. its the bottom players/inactive players for all the western conference teams with players with stars potentially being injury risks

  • In reply to maddog2010:

    Buzz kill.

  • That's what you get for citing anorexorcism as a source . . .

j/k It was quite the fun possibility to believe in, Gar's magic board. I wanted to believe, too.

Ultimately, though, as many reasons as folks might have to find Bulls management incompetent, they're just not THAT incompetent.

    hey! i resent that comment!

    lol.

  • In reply to muhammond:

the guys with the stars by them are all injured players. i think its just a roster of players around the league. nothing too exciting.
