  • varejo is signed to 50 million dollar contract by the cavs. it's a really really bad contract.

  • So what happens if Chicago doesnt get Bosh? Even Joe Johnson is questionable, why would he leave Atlanta who has a better team than chicago? I dont see Amare leaving unless its to Miami, Lebron is not leaving Cleveland. so does that mean Chicago goes to signing Lee and Gay?

Bynum is a back up center at best, but we've seen how the lakers get talent for nothing, so I wouldnt put it past Toronto for trading.

  • In terms of Chris Bosh, I agree he now has to be at the top of the list for the Bulls. Given the fact that Toronto isn't all that happy with Turkoglu and Calderon, it might be possible for the Bulls to dangle Hinrich and Deng outthere.

As far as the playoff series with the Cavs, I said it before and I'll say it again. It's all about the BIGS and BENCHES. Whichever of the two teams' BIGS and BENCHES do better will win the games and the series.

Game 1 - The Cavs' BIGS (Shaq, Jamison and Varejao) outscored the Bulls' BIGS (Noah, Gibson and Miller) by 13 points. That was the difference in the game. The Bulls' BIGS got outscored, outrebounded and outplayed badly.

They need to STEP-UP and play hard for 48 minutes.

    2 Things:

    1. You act like our Bigs were a main force for our offense during the season. They had their games but never consistently on offense. They need to focus more on rebounding and boxing out then anything. We lost heavily on offenseive boards and giving the Cavs too many second chances.

    2. The Cavs bigs are just deeper and better. We have our main three guys in Noah, Taj and Miller, Against 2 All stars and two pretty god players in Shaq, Jamison, Z and Varajo. Not including they do have Hckson at thir disposal.

We need to focus on boxing out and offensive boards. Our Offense is gonna come from our guards and possibly mis matches with Shaq. I doubt we get more than 20 from our front court a game for the entire series but that doesnt make us winless. We just need Rose toget to the line and Deng and Kirk to knock down shots. Also, JJ needs to play. He has good court vision and will help us body wise on Lebron.

  • i dont know. he's 28. the extention kicks in next year. do you really want to pay him 8 million 34?

  • In reply to pinkizdead:

    i meant 33

  • In reply to pinkizdead:

i guess you can see why i went into law.

  • In reply to pinkizdead:

It all depends on Miller. If he starts as you suggested and hits a few jumpers and defends Shaq adequately or fouling him, the Bulls have a shot to derail the CAVS a little bit in the beginning or making LeBron try to takeover and play selfishly.

Also, I am hoping that the Bulls will come out more focussed and energetic in the second game. They were kind of due for a down game after playing almost a few must-win games at the end of the season.

I don't really agree with Deng can't be a three point threat. He shoots a decent percentage from there, he just doesn't take them. Watching the Suns game, I can't help but compare him to Frye. He'd taken 70 threes through his first 4 years, this year he makes 172. I think we should have taken the same approach with Deng.

As for the future, Kyle Korver is a free agent, and he's a guy I'd look to get with the remains of our cap space after we chase a big name. He shouldn't be too expensive to get, and provides comedy value through looking like Mr Demi Moore.

  • Since you're closer to the team than we are Doug, maybe you can answer this. Is there any sort of direction for Deng from the coaches and front office for him to take more three point shots. That one step inside the 3pt. line jump shot, is the worst shot in basketball and sadly enough is a main part of Deng's offensive arsenal. Why cant someone just tell him to not take that long 2 and take some short threes!
