Let's face it. If the Bulls want to have any hopes at the playoffs they need this game. Not because a loss mathematically eliminates them, but if they can't beat the Nets at home, then they sure as hell aren't going to win the other important games left on the schedule.
Most significant thing about this game is that it's the first game I'll be taking my four year old daughter to. She's been dying to go to a game ever since I took my eight year old to one earlier this season.
Will Paige be the Bulls good luck charm? I suspect so. Bulls are undefeated while one of my children is in attendance. I know huge sample size [two games].
Still, they need something.
As for the game itself, what's there to say. The Bulls should outclass the Nets easily. They are on a winning streak of two in a row, so who knows, maybe they're playing a bit better. Their best player is probably Brook Lopez, but Brad Miller's the type of center who should do a credible job on him defensively.
While the season is probably over already, the slim hope of the playoffs will keep me going for as long as it's there.
