Per Bulls press release
Chicago Bulls traded John Salmons to the Milwaukee Bucks for Joe Alexander and
Hakim Warrick (pronounced Ha-keem). In addition, Chicago traded the
Bulls' regular second round draft choices in 2011 and 2012. Also,
Milwaukee has the option in NBA Draft 2010 of switching first round picks with
Chicago, so long as Chicago's first round pick is not a top 10 selection.
So the Bulls give up two second rounders and the option to swap picks. It's still a deal I would do, but that certainly adds to the cost.
I wonder if the Warrick/Alexander vs Thomas/Elson was related to the picks?
The pick swap probably won't mean much given that the most it's likely to be is four or five slots if the Bulls landed at exactly 11. Still a deal I'd do, but it does suck some of the warmth out of it.
