Chicago Bulls vs Miami Heat, 7:00 PM NBATV

Hometown kid Dwyane Wade will be at the United Center to take on the team who might throw some serious moneyat him in just a few months time. Chicago has been reported on several occasions to be interested in Wade as well as clearing cap space to sign another elite free agent.

Derrick Rose had a strong outing against Philadelphia three nights ago, but struggled from the floor at Atlanta. He didn't receive much help from his teammates, as the Bulls hit zero three-point shots on ten attempts.

The Bulls will once again be without center Joakim Noah, who is out for at least till the end of the All-Star weekend. Brad Miller will act as the starting center in the meantime. Against Atlanta Miller posted 10 points and five rebounds in over 40 minutes of play. Kirk Hinrich, Luol Deng and Taj Gibson helped out on the glass, with all grabbing seven or more.

Deng had an effective night against the Hawks, and will look to go aggressively at Miami's forwards. Chicago must look out for left-handed Michael Beasley who has been given a chance to start during his sophomore season. Beasley is scoring 16 points a night, and works as the second fiddle next to Wade. Tyrus Thomas could be used on Beasley for stretches tonight, as he'll be able to use his lenght.

Kirk Hinrich was once the best player in the league when the subject turned to Dwyane Wade stoppers. Hinrich was able to stop Wade from posting efficient numbers, but has drifted off over the past few years. Tonight, he'll match up against Wade for the majority of the game, and it'll be interesting to see if Hinrich can re-discover his past brilliance.

Chicago has another two games excluding this one before the All-Star break, and their opponents will be Indiana and Orlando.

  • Dwyane Wade is the main reason that I'll check out this game tonight.

  • As if we were short-handed enough Tyrus has been suspended one game (tonight) for "conduct detrimental to the team."

  • In reply to jamatokwu:

    I just read that too.

  • In reply to jamatokwu:

Tyrus Thomas needs a serious change of scenery. Make that happen JP.

I'm about to shock the world and give VDN some credit.

He actually had Derrick Rose on the floor to start and finish the 4th quarter. Good job, Vinny. You may have learned something about coaching, finally!!!

Secondly, I can't believe he played Chris Richard. WOW!!! What do you know? Vinny Del Negro actually felt compelled to use his bench. Go figure.

Is hell freezing over or what?

    Go Bulls!!!

  • In reply to jamatokwu:

tyrus got suspended for yelling at Vinny? Good... Tyrus is an uncoachable moron....I suspect VDN played Chris Richard because he could and would enact the game plan. That is as good as gold to him..Tyrus is a hopeless failure, without enough sense to try to learn the game of basketball. Can they assign him to the d league? that would be great!

  • In reply to jamatokwu:

with thomas and noah out i thought we'd see jj at the 4, but alas he got a dnp coaches decision. but chris richard got 20 min, i like that he played well. but lets at least try jj at the position he played in college.

  • In reply to jamatokwu:

I have a better idea. Let's trade BOTH Tyrus Thomas and James Johnson.

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yhk296v

To Bulls: Brendan Haywood, Nick Young and Dominic McGuire
To Wizards: Tyrus Thomas, James Johnson and Jannero Pargo

Worry about that 5th Seed, not free-agency. That's what sign-and-trades are for.

  • In reply to jamatokwu:

    Nice win...

  • In reply to jamatokwu:

Forget this season...we need to focus on this summer and our future...if a trade approaches and you can land a huge expiring deal you do it....Bulls should look at Ray Allen and his 18 mil. We would still make a decent playoff push and have a ton of money this summer...enough for 2 studs. Hinrich + Salmons for Ray Allen. Get it done Gar.
