LOS ANGELES -- Kirk Hinrich returned Tuesday after missing one game
because of the flu and participated in the Bulls' 90-minute practice
and weightlifting session on the USC campus. But John Salmons remained
behind in Oakland, Calif., after spending the night at a local hospital
with nausea.
"Hopefully, we'll get John here tonight or
Wednesday," coach Vinny Del Negro said. "Kirk is still a little pale
and lost some weight, but he's feeling better."
The stomach flu
bug is spreading through the team at the front end of a season-high,
seven-game trip. Luol Deng and some personnel from the team traveling
party are suffering from minor effects as well.
Urgh. Not good at all. I don't know about you guys, but I'm not seeing a Michael Jordan flu game in the immediate future of any of our players. Hopefully it's not a long lasting illness for anyone and everyone [especially John who had to be hospitalized] recovers quickly.
Obviously, the health of everyone isn't going to help the Bulls out any on this road trip, but in some ways, I'd rather be hit by a nasty flu that debilitates the team in the midst of games they weren't likely to win than in the midst of games they were likely to win.

Hey Kirk can you sneeze on James Johnson because he can really use some weight loss. Dont players get flu shots?
great, now kaptain Klank is diminishing the trade value of others...
Understanding cause vs effect is vital to your theory. Though must warn against over crediting Klank, even if it in a derogatory category. Sooner we can get rid of the cause, the sooner we will be healthy again. (am sure you don't ignore the incubation period. ;))
Leave it to the Bulls' management to allow Hinrich to fly in the team charter so he could infect the rest of the team. Brilliant.
