Hinrich questionable with flu-like symptoms

Per KC Johnson:

Kirk Hinrich missed Sunday's Bulls practice with flu-like symptoms.
Team officials said the veteran guard would get to the airport to fly
on the team charter to Oakland, where the Bulls begin a seven-game trip
Monday against Golden State.

It's unknown if Hinrich will play on Monday.

"He was pretty sick," coach Vinny Del Negro said. "He showed up (at Berto) and we sent him home."

If Hinrich can't start, John Salmons would take his place.

While Kirk has been up and down, the alternatives are Pargo and Hunter who are just down.   Really down.  Like absurdly bad down.

  • I think our Bulls be fine. Hinrich has been playing great lately, playing with more confidence then before. They've gotten a good amount of rest. Despite the Bulls bad road record, Golden State has a 7-10 home record and we already beat them earlier in the season with an injured Thomas, Deng playing with a messed up finger and Hinrich with from what I heard, back pains. So I'm sure our Bulls will be fine.

  • He probably has a bad case of gas.....

we are talking about Kirk Hinrich not Jerome James.

Let's just hope that the Bulls won't be overconfident

darnit, there goes Hinrich's trade value. Hinrich continues to suffer from "Flu like symtoms" with flu like numbers for past three seasons. I believe the flu can be traced back to the time he signed his Flu-shot like current contract.....

  • Whether Kirk Hinrich plays or not, the Bulls should still handle the Warriors and win this game. Afterall, they will be missing Kelenna Azubuike, Raja Bell, Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf and Anthony Morrow.

Quite frankly, I would not be surprised to see DROSE go off for 40 points.

  • Didnt Kirk have a bad case of the flu his rookie season and lose so much weight?

  • Did you all see what happened in GS on Friday? well they only had 4 players availble with a few sec and seconds left so the refs had to let Curry come back in so they could finish the game even though he fouled out lol.

  • so its a "front loaded" flu contract? His numbers for the last years show progression? Priceless...
