Vinny Del Negro's house is for sale: The Bulls coach, in the second
year of a three-year contract, has listed his four-bedroom,
contemporary-style house in southwest Highland Park for $1.325 million.Del
Negro, who purchased the 10-room house in August 2008 from its builder
for $1.2 million, declined to comment on why he is selling the house
and where he plans to move once it sells.
It's really an odd time to try and sell a house in this area.
At the same time, it's an incredible leap to imagine that Vinny's really trying to sell his house because he knows something imminent in regards to his job is coming. Even if he know he was gone at the end of this season I would expect him to try and sell in the spring.
It's more likely that his family just realized how miserable the winter will be in Chicago and wants to get out now, especially since he's not likely to be hanging out at home all that much anyway.

Or it could just be that the house was just too expensive for him
I dont know, I dont put too much stock in him selling...by that logic D-Wade is going to be a Bull next year (he recently purchase a condo in River North)....
But, I do agree, from any angle, this is a terrible time to put your house on the market, for a myriad of reasons...the only positive is there is still the tax credit available, but people looking at a million dollar property, could probably care less about a 6500 tax credit.
I'm going to believe in the former rather than the latter. I don't think the Bulls have any intentions in bring him back next season. He was a point d to point b coach. Or a baby sitter
If VDN is gone after this season then I hope avery johnson or byron scott is our next coach....or maybe charles barkley haha!!
Vinny Del N-ot playing James Johnson should focus on lengthening his rotation, rather than house sales.
there is no chance in hell he'll be back if they land a 2010.
he must have manage his wealth, he also has a nice house in AZ.
Odd time to sell...
1) Normally you buy in winter (reduced demand) and sell in spring (demand increasing).
2) Also, I believe home prices are starting to rise a bit after dropping perhaps 25% in Chicagoland. Most people are holding on to their homes so they can climb a bit higher in value.
3) Selling is stressful. Why do it a month or so into the season?
Perhaps James Johnson can be his realtor. He's not terribly busy right now.
either
A) The real trade to the Knicks is TT and VDN for Harrington and D'Antoni or
B)The Bulls are ready to fire another coach at the Xmas holiday
When expensive houses go on sale, it takes awhile to sell them. Usually the seller buys a different house. Of course, that is not news until he actually buys
Okay so here is something my Dad said to me.. The Bulls are going to get rid of VDN just before the holidays and then make Paxson the interim coach. They will give Paxson to the end of the season to see if he's worth a shot next season or else it will just be a way to send Paxson out of the organization at the end of the year with Forman already in as GM.
how did your dad hear that?
Chicago Bulls head coach Vinny Del Negro has pulled his four-bedroom, contemporary-style house in southwest Highland Park off the market after having listed it for the last two months for $1.325 million.
Del Negro had not been interested in leaving the Bulls, or even departing Chicago -- after all, the 43-year-old head coach is in the second year of a three-year deal he signed with the Bulls in June 2008, and as a result enjoys some level of job security, at least for the moment.
However, Del Negro, who was said to be considering moving elsewhere in the Chicago area, removed the house from the market on Wednesday. It was first listed on Oct. 5.
Through a trust, Del Negro purchased the 10-room house in August 2008 from its builder for $1.2 million. The two-story, 3,400-square-foot residence has 3.5 baths, three fireplaces, an elevator, hardwood floors, an open floor plan, a gourmet kitchen with top appliances, walls of windows in the family and dining rooms, a den with a fireplace, a finished lower level with a full bath, a rec room/exercise room, a master suite with a sitting room and a spa and roof deck.
Through his listing agent, Julie Deutsch of Coldwell Banker, Del Negro declined to comment on why he had been trying to sell the house and why he pulled it off the market.
KC would be my guest. He said on Waddle and Silvy that report was untrue and that he had taken it off the market. Also said organization wants Vinny to play James Johnson

Your link says that Vinnie's pulling his house OFF the market. Please God do not let this be an indication he will be here after this year.
Given the roster I don't know how you can say that. It's pretty hard to make an offense without a post game or at least a big who can force a double team
What do you mean ownership group?
Someone explain what difference in the realm of the Bulls immediate future the exit of Del Negro makes? Answer: None, nada, zip, zilch, etc. Reinsdorf runs this franchise like he does the White Sox, on the cheap, with little consistency in direction ...other than to be profitable...and to keep the sucker fans who pay for these franchises in a state of commotion and guessing ...who will be next. Who cares who will replace Del Negro or Skiles? What does it matter?
