Rich Bucher: Tyrus for Harrington not being discussed

From his twitter account:

"On Al Harrington for Jerome James/Ty Thomas rumor: talked to sources w/both teams. Told that it is not being discussed."

Well, who knows, I'm not going to be up in arms either way about this one.  It does make some sense for the Bulls to wait until the trade deadline on the off chance Tyrus helps them land Bosh, but I find that chance exceedingly low (both that Bosh will be moved and that Tyrus would make a difference in the offer).

  • Whether you think so or not, Chris Bosh is the PF the Chicago Bulls need to get and Dwyane Wade is the SG the Chicago Bulls need to get.

It's the job of John Paxson and Gar Forman to assemble a championship roster. They need to do whatever it takes to land Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. They can't win a championship with a collection of role players. They need superstars. And that's plural for Wade and Bosh.

Bottom-line, history tells us that it takes multiple superstars, on a team, to win championships.

Agree that they need superstars. That is what 2010 is all about. Problem is if Bosh bolts he is going to Miami. Why? 1)Miami is a better team; 2)Bosh told a reporter that weather could influence his decision; 3) he has a closer relationship to D. Wade than anyone on the Bulls; 4) unless I am mistaken the Heat are even further under the cap than the Bulls. Therefore, I expect the Bulls to overpay one of the next next level FAs, either Boozer or Lee.

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Celtics won one with only one superstar. History says that you a superstar, and 2 allstar players

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Bucher should do a better job as a reporter. Of course, sources from both teams will deny the rumor. However, other sources have leaked this information. Other teams and the league are often brought into personel or trade discussions on corollary matters and the story gets out. If reporters just talked to Tiger Woods or his wife do you think it would have ever come come that Tiger was diddling someone else?

  • In reply to MrHappy:

Also Mike McGraw said it wasn't happening as did the New York Post yesterday. K.C. even said it was wierd that they were discussing this because he said Bulls management was intruged by the what Tyrus and Noah could do on the defensive end
