"I'll play his ass right now," Russell told Yahoo! Sports. "This is
a call-out for him to come play me. He can come out here in his private
jet and come play. He's got millions of dollars. He can pay for the
jet. He can meet me at the Recreation Center in Calabasas."We can have Mark Jackson do the commentating. We can have Mitch
Richmond do the officiating. We can put it on TV and see if Michael's
still got it."Jordan spent much of his enshrinement speech at the Naismith
Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame singling out players and coaches who
had slighted, criticized or motivated him. Russell merited a special
mention.
Personally, I think it'd be awesome to see them go head to head in a train wreck, can't stop the rolling head kind of fashion. Who you got in this contest?
Bryon Russell's quite a bit younger and is likely in much better shape. Jordan looked like he had really let himself go in the hall of fame video. I'd imagine he's at least forty pounds overweight. I'd give Russell a pretty good chance for that reason.
However, Jordan's finely developed post game would be difficult for Russell to stop, so unless Russell had a big enough athletic advantage to kill Jordan off the dribble consistently, I'd think that Jordan's game would translate much better to a one on one scenario.

Byron Russell is officially the stupidest man alive. Only Craig Ehlo has had more big Jordan game winners drained on him than Byron Russell. Seriously just shut up and be happy you will be remembered for some thing. Rather than just some guy who never won a Championship in three chances.
I would love to see this, for MJ to say something about that finals shot was baffling, anyone who has even a basic understanding of basketball knows he just plain shoved Russell out of the way, like he did to other players night in and night out during his career. The NBA just had to take care of their baby, money is money. I respect his game and think he was great, but he was made out to be even better than he was. I watched a special on Jordan years ago and the only one with the testicles to call him out was the basketball God himself... Mr. John Wooden (showing the shot against Russell) "he pushed him, I wish they would have called fouls on Michael.
Every one mentions the "Last Shot" where Jordan gave Russell a gentle push. Lets look back on the two game winners MJ drained on him the previous year? Like I said previously the only person who got abused by Jordan worse than Russell was Ehlo.
It would be an embarassment to watch, for both of them.
Have them in their old jerseys!
I think when all is said and done this story will just confirm my feeling (or prejudice?) that Jordan is basketball's Ty Cobb. Supreme talent with an unpleasant personality. Incredibly competitive but personally petty and insecure. An out of control gambler, womanizer and egomaniac.
Looks like a great pay per view event, LMAO. Is Russell really that stupid, Michael needs little motivation and now he fuels the fire. Did he not learn his lesson?
1. Russell was backpedaling and got pushed, if you play ball you know how easy it is to push someone that way, not saying you don't, but you should know.
2. Fouls are called like that... its called a handcheck on defense and charging on offense. What matters is if its the person on the ball or the ball handler.
3 Watch your vid again, it has nothing to do with what you are trying to convey. Jordan was not set so he should have got a blocking foul, then Miller should have gotten a foul for the extra push, so it was a wash. If I had been the ref watching in real time I would have called the foul on Miller I believe tho. And by showing it infers that Jordan must also have stumbled because there was no foul called.
Also there aren't many you-tube videos that you can look up by searching "Calls made correctly at the end of the game" or "push-off that was called a foul"
