Hinrich fell off noticeably in 2007-08, though he did bounce
back by a goodly sum last season. It does little to jettison him from this
list, as the Bulls combo guard moves his feet quite well and uses a lanky-ish
frame (for someone his size) to pester all manner of point and shooting guards,
alongside the occasional small forward. Not the flashiest guy, he won't be
stripping you at the top of the key, but he will force you into giving up the
ball or giving into a low-possession shot.
I don't watch enough basketball outside of the Bulls to have a strong opinion on how well Kirk compares to the rest of the league, but a top 10 slot over the past decade seems like awfully high praise given he's never been 1st team all defense and only made the 2nd team once.
Still, the guys I would have immediately thought are better than him are all listed ahead of him on the list. I'd think that Kobe Bryant or Dwyane Wade when they are really clamping down are better defenders, but I'm not sure that either guy really clamps down play after play game after game.

I gotta say he is way too high on that list. I would easily take Prince, Zo, Camby, and Howard over Kirk and would say that billups and Bell edge him out. I'd say he is in the same class as a Okafor, TC or Shaq and to me frontcourt defense is much more valuable these days then backcourt defense.
I guess this confirms that he is a little better defender than Ben Gordon.
I might have believed top ten guard, but top ten of all players seems far fetched to me. After examining the whole list, it also seems a little weak to me.
This will definately cause another enormous outbreak of Ben Gordon derangement syndrome with the loons over at DbagaBull.
Hinrich is garbage!!!!! This career straek shooter is not a NBA Starter. He is slow and his circle dribbling clock eating kills the attack killer, he can't beat anyone off the dribble and will NOT attack the rim.
Paxson is clueless, his poor management has doomed the Bulls. Why would any one with a brain give all that money to Hinrich & Deng, these two slugs along with No-Shot Noad are NOT NBA Starters
