Johnson and Gibson signed

Bulls.com: First round draft choices James Johnson and Taj Gibson sign their rookie contracts.

The Chicago Bulls announced today the signings of 2009 first round draft picks James Johnson and Taj Gibson. Per team policy, terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Does this mean a lot? To us fans, not much. It was largely formulaic, as their contracts are barely negotiable.

What it does mean, though, is that neither player can now be traded for 30 more days. So if a big deal is going to down - as we're all hoping it will, and as whispers suggest it might - then these two won't be in it.

But then, we probably knew that already.
