Further to Doug's post from the other day, that talks about unguaranteed or partially guaranteed contracts that could be used to open up some cap room for the Bulls that can then be used to re-sign Ben Gordon, here is a list of all such unguaranteed contracts in the league today and their details (when known). The list is probably not exhaustive, but is intended to be. - Jerry Stackhouse (Dallas Mavericks): $2 mil of $7,250,000 guaranteed, no guarantee date.
- Steve Nash (Phoenix Suns): $6.5 million guaranteed of $13,125,000.
- Steve Blake (Portland Trail Blazers): $4,000,000 fully unguaranteed until July 1st, then fully guaranteed.
- Travis Outlaw (Portland Trail Blazers): $3,600,000 fully unguaranteed until July 1st, then fully guaranteed.
- Greg Buckner (Memphis Grizzlies): $1,062,398 of $4,080,916 guaranteed in 2009/10, and $1,064,516 of $4,277,777 guaranteed in 2010/11, becomes guaranteed on December 1st.
- Sasha Pavlovic (Phoenix Suns): $1.5 million of $4,750,000 guaranteed.
- Chucky Atkins (Oklahoma City Thunder): $760,000 of $3,480,000 guaranteed, no guarantee date.
- Bruce Bowen (Milwaukee Bucks): $2.1 mil of $4.1 mil guaranteed.
- Fabricio Oberto (Detroit Pistons): $1.9 mil of $3.8 mil unguaranteed until July 1st.
- Dontell Jefferson (Charlotte Bobcats), Jawad Williams, Darnell Jackson, Tarence Kinsey (Cleveland Cavaliers), Sonny Weems (Dnver Nuggets), Anthony Morrow, Jermareo Davidson (Golden State Warriors), James White (Houston Rockets), Mike Taylor (L.A. Clippers), D.J. Mbenga, Josh Powell, Sun Yue (L.A. Lakers), Salim Stoudamire (Milwaukee Bucks), Mouhamed Sene, Joe Crawford, Chris Hunter (New York Knicks), Shaun Livingston (Oklahoma City Thunder), Marcus E. Williams (San Antonio Spurs), Quincy Douby (Toronto Raptors), Dominic McGuire (Washington Wizards): all earning the minimum salary with various levels of guarantee, but mostly fully unguaranteed. NB: All contracts become guaranteed on January 10th, so if those players with unguaranteed contracts make it through until that date without being waived, they become guaranteed for the rest of the season. Also note that Rafer Alston (New Jersey Nets), Brent Barry (Houston Rockets) and Matt Harpring (Utah Jazz) are listed in various places around the internet as being the proud owners of unguaranteed salaries, but they're not; they used to be, but all three players met certain "games played" incentives that saw their contracts become guaranteed.
