The Bears listed running back Armando Allen as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Lions with a knee injury. With Matt Forte hobbling on an ankle injury and Michael Bush on injured reserve, the team elevated RB Harvey Unga from the practice squad to the active roster as an emergency backup. It’s likely he’ll be active on Sunday.
To make room for Unga, the Bears released DE Cheat Ozougwu, who appeared in just two contests this season, recording two tackles. Unga spent weeks 1-4 and 13-16 with the team in 2012, and has spent that last three preseasons with Chicago but has never appeared in a regular season game.
