The Chicago Bears waived T Levi Horn, TE Andre Smith and G Reggie Stephens Monday morning. The roster now officially stands at 89-man.
The Bears signed Andre Smith out of Virginia Tech on July 26, 2011. They brought in Reggie Stephens out of Iowa St. on a reserve/futures contract on January 6, 2012.
All three players were practice squad participants and have no starts with the team. Horn, however, was elevated to the active roster last season after RT Gabe Carimi was placed in injured reserve.
Horn was an undrafted free agent out of Montana and a four-year starter for the Grizzlies (2006-09). He was named an All-American by the American Football Coaches Association after helping Montana to a 14-1 record his senior year.
