The Chicago Bears signed DT Nate Collins (24) to a one-year contract on Wednesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Jaguars originally acquired Collins as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Virginia in 2010.
The 6’-2”, 296 lb. DT recorded 10 tackles, 0.5 sacks, a fumble recovery and a single pass defended with Jacksonville.
He was released on March 16, 2012. Following the signing of Collins, the Bears’ roster stands full at the 90-man maximum off-season limit.
More competition for that d-line.
