The Chicago Bears agreed to terms with fourth-round Draft selection and former Temple TE Evan Rodriguez on a four-year contract Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Rodriguez is the third 2012 Draft selection to be signed by the Bears. They have three remaining. Bears’ head negotiator Cliff Stein hopes to have all the picks under contract by mid-May.
As we've said, all the deals will be four-year terms, per the NFL/NFLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Rodriguez is a two-time first-team all-MAC selection (2010-2011) and started 28 of 37 games through three seasons (2009-11), finishing with 69 receptions for 871 yards (12.6 ypc) and seven touchdowns.
Here is our initial analysis on the Rodriguez selection.
