Nike game jerseys now available for pre-order

It’s no secret that Reebok will no longer be the provider of NFL jerseys/uniforms in 2012. Instead, Nike is currently under a five-year contract with the League and unveiled its version of the NFL uniform “The Elite 51” earlier this month in New York.

Chicago Bears Huddle was on hand for the reveal and can say the Bears’ new look holds strong to tradition, while embracing the technology Nike pioneered and implemented with the new uniforms.

Saturday night, the NFL Game Jerseys from Nike went on sale for the first time via pre-order at the Nike Store.

The game jerseys are very similar to what NFL players will dawn on game-day and include the screen printed numbers (used on game jerseys in order to decrease weight) and clock in at $100-$110 bucks (depending on size).

The “Elite” jerseys will go on sale April 27th and will set you back a staggering $250. The numbers on the elite version will be stitched as opposed to screen printed.

Also available—sometime in June (according to Nike)—will be the “Limited” NFL jerseys. Those will cost fans $135.

According to Nike, there will be no limit on orders once everything is available.

Nike does warn, however, that these jerseys will be “as snug as can be,” and that fans will notice a difference between the Reebok version in terms of fit.

If you like the previous Reebok fit, I’m told it might be best to order one size larger than you have in the past.

As for custom jerseys, those will be available through NFL.com and some individual team Pro Shops.
