Chicago Bears Huddle Playoff Picks: Super Bowl XLVI

All throughout the NFL Playoffs, the staff at Chicago Bears Huddle, and those of you readers who've voted, have been picking each game on the road to Super Bowl XLVI. Well, the time has come. You can find our picks and view the current standings below. Voting has now closed.

New York Giants (12-7) vs. New England Patriots (15-3)
Sunday 5:30 Central

At the very least, football fans can expect a good game on Sunday. These two teams play each other very well; the Pats are the Pats, and the Giants are once again hot at the right time. The biggest factor in this game easily appears to be the questionable status of New England TE Rob Gronkowski.

The simplest way for me to express what Gronkowski means to the Patriots' offense is to show you the numbers. Throughout the regular season and the playoffs, when Tom Brady fires for the endzone, he's completed TD passes to his tight end 77% of the time. He's completed TD passes to all other receivers just 27% of the time.

Another key factor in this game is Eli Manning's clutch-ability. Let's face it, the guy performs under pressure. It's certainly hard to bet against Tom Brady—it always is—but this is definitely anyone's Super Bowl.
