Earlier tonight, 26-year old former Chicago Bears wide receiver Sam Hurd posted a $100,000 cash bond at the Dirksen Federal Building in Chicago and was released from prison.
According to reports, his wife and mother were on-hand throughout the day.
Conditions of Hurd's release, as we know them, are to maintain employment, turn over his passport and any firearms, as well as submit to random drug screening.
His next court date is not yet set but it's believed it will be sometime in the next few weeks.
A member of Sam's legal team, Brett Greenfield, spoke out on the allegations that Hurd supplied at least 10-15 NFL players with narcotics on Friday: "Out of respect to the NFL, his teammates and other players, he 100% denies that allegation."
The current charges against Hurd could carry a sentence of up to 40 years in prison.
