LAKE FOREST, IL - The Chicago Bears signed WR Onrea Jones (ahn-RAY-uh) and DT Tank Tyler to reserve / future contracts.

Tyler was originally selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round (82nd overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft out of North Carolina State. He has appeared in 43 NFL contests with 19 starts for the Chiefs (2007-09) and Carolina Panthers (2009), recording 79 tackles, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Collegiately, Tyler had 174 tackles, 21.5 tackles for losses and five sacks in 48 games (28 starts) for the Wolfpack.

Jones was an undrafted free agent of the Houston Texans in 2007 out of Hampton College. Jones spent time with the Texans, San Diego Chargers, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, Washington Redskins and Arizona Cardinals, mostly on practice squads. He appeared in two regular season games with the Cardinals in 2010 but did not record a reception. At Hampton, Jones had 96 receptions for 1,359 yards and seven touchdowns in 36 games (12 starts).
