The Chicago Bears: Injury Free and Defying the Odds

The Chicago Bears are 5-3 midway through the season. And boy has it been a long one. While the Bears' defense has played excellent football, the offense hasn't done them any favors by being one of the worst teams in the NFL in time-of-possession. Typically, any veteran defense who must consistently play extra minutes will begin to break down as the season progresses. And maybe we just haven't seen that yet.

But, despite what happens moving forward, the Bears, right now, are one of the healthiest teams in the NFL. The Chicago Bears and Kansas City Chiefs are the only two teams in the NFL with four players or less listed on their injury report, who also have zero players listed as "out" for their upcoming games. So, I wanted to take a minute to look at eight key players - over 30 - who have defied the odds, are currently healthy and continue to help the Bears win football games:
