This is your guide to catching the best live music in Chicago both in the city and throughout the suburbs.  This weekend, lots of festival choices as Moby, Bassnectar, Flosstradamus, Paul Oakenfold, Calvin Harris and more headline the "Spring Awakening" Music Festival at Soldier Field... The Joy Formidable, Divine Fits and JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound perform all weekend at "Taste of Randolph..."  "Blues on the Fox" in Aurora features Buddy Guy, Dr. John and J.J. Grey & Mofro... Plus area appearances by Fleetwood Mac, The Lonely Island, Daniel Lanois, The Reverend Horton Heat, JD McPherson, Eleventh Dream Day and comics like Bob Newhart and Artie Lange.  All of this plus much more...

"Spring Awakening" Music Festival (Friday through Sunday at Soldier Field.  3 day passes are SOLD OUT.  Single day passes for Friday only are $85-116.  Single day passes for Saturday only are $111-157.  Single day passes for Sunday only are $106-157) - Moby, Nero, Dirty South, PANTyRAID, R3hab and more perform on Friday.  Bassnectar, 12th Planet, Felix Da Housecat, Flosstradamus, Gramatik, Paul Oakenfold, Zedd, Zeds Dead and more perform on Saturday.  Calvin Harris, ATB, Boys Noize, Krewella, Porter Robinson and more perform on Sunday.

Jim has also worked locally for WXRT-FM, lives within walking distance of the Metro and is an avid White Sox and Blackhawks fan whose first live concert experience came at Comiskey Park in 1984 during the Jacksons' "Victory" tour.
